Summer is vacation season, so we thought it was a good time to remind you that you can temporarily suspend holds you’ve placed on library materials without losing your place in line.
To suspend your holds, follow these steps:
Step 1: Log in to your account in the library catalog.
Step 2: Click on Hold Requests from the navigation bar:
Step 3: Near the bottom of the screen, click the button that says Suspend/Reactivate All. (Alternatively, you can click the checkboxes beside specific titles to suspend your holds on those selected items.)
Step 4: Following the format in the example below, enter the date that you will again be available to come in again to pick up your holds:
Step 5: Click Log Out from the top left of the screen:
Suspending your holds allows you to retain your place in line for popular titles, and it can also be helpful in managing the flow of materials if you’ve bitten off more than you can read, view, listen to, etc.
